I am a 51 year old husband and father of 4.   I have only a few passions beyond God and my lovely bride.   One of them is running.   I ran cross country in high school and have run off and on ever since.

I also work in New York City, in Lower Manhattan.

New York is a very interesting place to be, historically, geographically, geopolitically, and because you can see almost anything there.

This blog is about the mixture of running and New York City.   I usually run during my lunch period 3 to 4 times a week.   These brief periods of exercise are not only healthy and stress reducing, but they are also never dull because I never know what I’ll see, or hear, or feel.

But now add another aspect of my running.   I’ve become a “believer” in the benefits of barefoot and minimalist running.   Yes, I actually run barefoot on NYC sidewalks and streets.
